My mum’s employee asked me today (because I’m a petrolhead, of course) if a ‘Grand Rover’ was a good car because her husband wanted to get one. Wat. So that could be a Grand Cherokee, a Land/Range Rover, or knowing her even a Land Cruiser or a Grand Vitara. No amount of convincing that there’s no such thing as a ‘Grand Rover’ worked and she just thinks that I never heard of a car like that.Damn straight I haven’t. :E

Doubt it. She’s not that rich or fashinable. I think a Grand Cherokee is the most likely candidate, but I can’t be sure.

Don’t you hate that? Like no matter how 100% false somebody can be about a car related issue, they are still convinced you are in the wrong.

Like even after articles and graphs and charts some people are just like “nope I know what I know to be correct”

Exactly that. It’s definitely a Grand Rover and nothing else and it’s shocking I’ve never heard of such a car. And after they buy it and I point out the fact that it isn’t a Grand Rover after all it’ll still be my fault because I should have known what she meant.

I stopped giving car advice years ago. They either say yes and then proceed on buying whatever they wanted in the first place or they buy the worst example of the car you recommended and blame you for every single fault. No way to win.
